We made it. That is all I can say. After multiple reschedules and plans, we made it. They made it. And what a ride. We drove forever to find that parking spot. And Julianna met Kevin. Julianna and Kevin pledged forever by themselves (and myself and a squirrel!) at the War Memorial on June 19th. […]

A couple of things about this couple: (1) Ask Jess about ladybugs (2) Ask Andrew how he says mozzarella. This adorable duo met on Coffee Meets Bagel and I am already counting down the days to their White Hall Estate wedding next May! Congratulations, Jessica and Andrew! Next year is gonna be amazing.
In case you are wondering, yes! I do photograph headshots, especially for realtors. Speaking of which, the real estate market for sellers – I hear – is amazing right now! Meet my friend, Vanessa! She is working alongside our dear mutual friend Victoria Ro Homes. Beyond grateful for both of these Godly women in my […]

COVID and wedding planning….enough said. After rescheduling their wedding for the second time, these two decided they couldn’t wait. Disclaimer: I am not their original wedding photographer 🙂 Allie and Brian found their way to me after only a day of searching for a wedding photographer. There wasn’t much time from booking their elopement to […]
My story with Ali and Derek began WAY back pre-‘rona when Ali and I connected through our mutual friend Ashleigh of Sweetly Southern Events. Ali reached out wanting special photos taken of her and her fiance, Derek, before they planned to elope in July. We made grand plans, friends. Oh we did. A National Mall […]

Happy March to everyone. Can you believe it? MARCH! Though we were blessed with a mild winter, I still want nothing more to taste Spring weather and know it is here for good. We’ve been spoiled lately with sunny skies and warmer weather as of late, and I hope this trend continues as we march (see what I did there) towards Cherry Blossom season.
What do you and your fiancé do two days before Christmas while you are in town to celebrate with family? You have your engagement session, that is what!

Despite it being December, this adorable couple decided to have an outdoor ceremony. With warm blankets for every guest – and a hot cocoa bar – guests stayed toasty warm while McKenzie and Jared vowed forever. After the ceremony, we rolled through formal photos and made do with the last bit of light we had for portraits behind the manor in the field.
Early in 2019, I photographed a wedding at the Metier – a Michelin star restaurant – in Washington DC. I’ll never forget that moment when I took a modest bite from the creamed peas of my vendor meal and felt the world tilt upon her axis. It was the most delicious thing I had ever […]

I’ll give the disclaimer that this blog post might scare – and shock – some of you. I’ve been on the fence about spilling all my tea about this because – well, it is scary. Especially to clients who depend upon our gear to work properly at their wedding. Also, in the event this blog post makes it to Petapixel, I have to arm myself for a battle against the internet trolls.
