Hi there! Thank you for stopping by. Here you will find previous sessions, words of encouragement and possibly a meatball sandwich recipe.

Welcome!

Happy New Year!

Jan 6, 2020

Dear SKP Clients and Friends,

Happy New Year to you all! At the present moment, I am writing this blog post from the passenger seat of my SUV as my family and I head to our home state for a funeral.

My husband’s 97-year-old grandmother passed away over the New Year. Many people offer condolences for this, but this is a time of deep celebration. Steve’s grandmother is now with Jesus, can both see and hear again, and is united with her husband. Steve’s grandparents immigrated over from the Netherlands because of the Nazi occupation during WWII. Before their immigration, they both helped with resistance in the Netherlands and would bury a radio in the backyard and dig it up every so often to listen to the world news. Can you imagine?

While we are taking a couple of days to travel and be with family, I am officially back in my office – today, my SUV – and getting to work on editing, emails, and planning for 2020.

Not too long ago, l wrote about a new year, new blog. That is that blog post, but 2.0 version and the 2020 edition. Ha 🙂

Last year, I photographed over 20 weddings, pinned around 60 + boutonnieres, cried at 5 weddings during daddy/daughter dances, and welcomed so many more couples into my family. I say family, because some of you do feel like you are after a while. For potential couples reading this post, I check-in with my people at least every 8 weeks to see how you are doing and offer some planning support. I’m there to help when I can and through the process, I do my best to get to know you. This serves us both well on your wedding day. Being in front of a camera can be daunting and the more we get to know each other, the more comfortable you will feel. The camera loves this.

What is ahead in 2020 you might ask?

Well, I am halfway booked up, I already have two engagement sessions on the calendar, I am booking into 2021,  and plan to focus my energy on serving my couples better through posing and continuing on to build this business while focusing too on my family.

Thank you so much for your continued readership and support. I couldn’t have done this without my couples, friends, friendors, and my family. Love you all.

To my 2020 couples …Y’all ARE GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR! Can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Stefanie
