What happens when you meet a bride who loves photography, flowers, dogs, and pretty things as much as you do? It is a great time!
I absolutely adored getting to know Bailey during her getting ready time. Since this was our first time meeting in person, it was a lot of fun seeing where she lived and her passions which were displayed all throughout her house. Since the church was literally minutes down the road, Bailey opted to have her detail photos taken at her home in Alexandira, Virginia. I still can’t get over the landscaping she did herself!
I hung her wedding dress on one of her favorite trees in the backyard and got to work with her details, also very important to her.
Bailey and Brian met while they served on the same navy ship together. Prepare to melt: they passed love letters to each other through the chaplain of the ship! And finally, after several years of dating, they got married at the Basilia of St. Mary in Alexandria; the oldest catholic church in America.
With their reception in Leesburg to follow a little later, we took advantage of the gorgeous Alexandria backdrop for some classic Old Town Alexandira wedding pictures.
After, we headed out to 48 Fields Farm for more bride and groom portraits, and portraits with Wally! 🙂
Another gorgeous day in the books and MAJOR kuddos to this couple who prioritized couple portraits in their timeline. Sometimes on wedding days – actually most wedding days – there is only minutes to take bride and groom portraits. The quickest I had to take them was in three minutes. I was spoiled with Bailey and Brian’s wedding because I had so many different locations!!
It was such a wonderful, intimate, wedding! I wish every wedding could be portrait filled like this one!
