While I absolutely love what I do, sometimes I enjoy photographing for myself. What I mean by this is that I enjoy photographing beautiful things just to photograph them. Wedding days are lovely, filled with emotions, gorgeous details, and love….but I need time to focus (literally) on learning new skills and trying new techniques with […]

Wedding 1/2 for December 12! While I miss the robust wedding days, I am loving these shorter wedding days and able to photograph more than one in a day! What made this wedding so special is that it was all about family. I – Stefanie – personally know the father of the bride as he […]
Danielle and Ruben decided on forever mid-July and postponed their bigger wedding celebration until next year. Completely with a first look, these two started their day together and walked into the start of their new beginning as husband and wife.

Happy March to everyone. Can you believe it? MARCH! Though we were blessed with a mild winter, I still want nothing more to taste Spring weather and know it is here for good. We’ve been spoiled lately with sunny skies and warmer weather as of late, and I hope this trend continues as we march (see what I did there) towards Cherry Blossom season.
What is ahead in 2020 you might ask?
Well, I am halfway booked up, I already have two engagement sessions on the calendar, I am booking into 2021, and plan to focus my energy on serving my couples better through posing and continuing on to build this business while focusing too on my family.

As a Michigan Native – but former Texas resident – I get SUPER pumped when I meet other Michiganders in the DC area. Especially clients. Que Ryan’s message via The Knot. Immediately we struck up a conversation about Michigan – where we lived, where we went to school, how we ended up out this way. […]
Jen and Matt were fabulous. Yet another couple who isn’t afraid of following me around an area to take photos whenever and wherever. And I love Morven Park for this reason, there are so many unique settings, a photographer could spend an entire season here and not highlight all the best locations this place has to offer.

I loved my time with McKenzie and Jared and loved the fact they trusted me with some crazy ideas…Like traveling down the ways to the reflecting pool area when that was not a part of the original game plan. We spent sometime around the Memorial before we headed down and found the most gorgeous weeping willow. I’ve seen this tree in a handful of my friend’s images, just never knew where it was! Now it is forever a favorite spot and I can’t wait to take my couple next month there.
The service was beautiful, of course, Catholic weddings always are in my opinion. I love Catholic weddings because of the traditions and rituals. As a photographer, I love documenting them just as much. As the ceremony went on, it felt like we were secure and you wouldn’t know the Nationals’ parade was happening a few blocks over. Every so often you would hear a faint cheer.

Melanie and Benjamin said “I-do” in front of their closest friends and family at Benjamin’s childhood home in Bethesda, MD. Since Melanie – who seems like a good friend now and not a client – is from England, the couple wanted a garden theme wedding with English ties throughout.
