Early in 2019, I photographed a wedding at the Metier – a Michelin star restaurant – in Washington DC. I’ll never forget that moment when I took a modest bite from the creamed peas of my vendor meal and felt the world tilt upon her axis. It was the most delicious thing I had ever […]

What is ahead in 2020 you might ask?

Well, I am halfway booked up, I already have two engagement sessions on the calendar, I am booking into 2021, and plan to focus my energy on serving my couples better through posing and continuing on to build this business while focusing too on my family.

Happy New Year!

As a Michigan Native – but former Texas resident – I get SUPER pumped when I meet other Michiganders in the DC area. Especially clients. Que Ryan’s message via The Knot. Immediately we struck up a conversation about Michigan – where we lived, where we went to school, how we ended up out this way. […]

Jen and Matt were fabulous. Yet another couple who isn’t afraid of following me around an area to take photos whenever and wherever. And I love Morven Park for this reason, there are so many unique settings, a photographer could spend an entire season here and not highlight all the best locations this place has to offer.

Oh, Victoria and David. Your wedding was amazing. From your wedding day details to the moments on the dance floor, how can I even begin to write a brief summary of your day? — I have so many feels about this wedding in particular; all good of course. From the moment of booking to their […]

Melanie and Benjamin said “I-do” in front of their closest friends and family at Benjamin’s childhood home in Bethesda, MD. Since Melanie – who seems like a good friend now and not a client – is from England, the couple wanted a garden theme wedding with English ties throughout.

On my old website, I would blog about those weddings and continually update my portfolio. Since the migration – and for simplicity sake – I’ve decided to write a quarterly blog post on all my favorite photos taken in those three months that highlights my favorite images from the weddings I photographed for others.

Gosh, can you believe it? Fall is here, but you wouldn’t know it at Julianna and Kevin’s engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial. Good golly, was it another hot one. Shout out to this couple who got up super early to meet me at the steps of the Lincoln for their session with me.

These two were a breeze to work with and I am counting down the days until their wedding. Congrats you two, when you come back to DC, we need to celebrate, with wine and whiskey! My treat 😉

Not too long ago, these two met, fell in love, and began their life together as husband and wife. …Wait a minute, Stefanie… Yes, these two actually renewed their vows in front of their closest friends and family in the most gorgeous setting: a vineyard with beautiful Virginia mountains in the backdrop. And it was […]
