First, I would like to start this blog post by declaring this couple are rockstars. They weathered unexpected wedding planning twists long before COVID and have remained steadfast through COVID.

In December of 2020, a couple of days after Christmas, I get an email from the groom letting me know that due to unforeseen circumstances, they would have to switch wedding venues. I won’t go into detail there, but it was extremely tragic and devastating. Then – finally – at the end of January, this sweet couple found their new wedding venue, but would have to pair down from 200 guests to 130. We got this, right?

And as you guessed…Covid came a month before their April date. I just got back their wedding day questionnaire when I had to write the, “What are your rescheduling plans?”

Their April wedding then turned into a September date and then finally May of 2021. BUT, they decided to get married with a select number of friends and family and planned for a later celebration because they couldn’t wait. And I didn’t blame them one bit. I actually encouraged this from the get-go.

Sticking to their second date – and their ceremony venue – Jasmine and Andrew said I-do in Jasmine’s childhood church.

A bit of pre-ceremony photos were taken, followed by a first-touch, the ceremony, family photos, and then couple’s portraits. It was a quick day, but just a sweet taste of their wedding next year that will be full of Korean traditions. And I am pretty pumped about that. Also, I’ll get to photograph Jasmine in that dress with her veil, AGAIN. YESSSS!

Looking forward – and hopeful – for May 2021. Seeing these two get married after all they went through was a blessing for me and truly showed that love can’t wait.
