Where to even begin describing this special day? 

I met Kelly and Nick last year when Kelly booked me as their wedding photographer. Little did we know, 2020 would throw us curve balls over and over when it came time for wedding day back in May then finally in July. 

Like many couples, Kelly and Nick planned for a bigger celebration at a later date, but COVID proved to not go away the way we had hoped. 

They mustered through and decided on a smaller celebration instead of a bigger one. Surrounded by closest friends and family, these two had a gorgeous picture session with dinner to follow.

Pivot, I told Kelly. Don’t give up on those dream moments. Such as a first look. Even though Kelly and Nick saw each other earlier in the day at their civil ceremony, I told her – and encouraged her – to go about wedding portrait time like she would on a wedding day. 

Nick’s reaction made me melt behind the camera. 

Hang in there, couples. It is a hard time for all right now. Pivot, don’t loose hope.
